The materials on this page are available to download free and may be reproduced for educational use. They work particularly well before and after a visit to Mount Zion, but may also be used as classroom prompts to explore Calder Tales generally and as stimuli for creative learning across the curriculum. Although it is not essential to visit to use these resources, we do encourage you to come and explore this special place and the stories it tells.

The Told by the Dial: stories in stone resources, were compiled with Key Stage 2 in mind, however they have scope to be used in Key Stage 3. Some of the activities and slides may also be adapted for Key Stage 1 e.g., William Walker, A Child's Tale and Irene's Garden.

Please note these resources will be supplemented as the project and research continues. So keep checking!
